Workshops turn unfamiliar technologies into practical skills. At recent events, more than 50 industry mentors helped students explore ideas, debug projects, and connect classroom learning to real-world work.

Team-formation activities and beginner-friendly support welcome students of every major and experience level. Talks, judging, and conversations with industry professionals open doors beyond the weekend.
Student-led from the start.
Over successive generations of student organizers, LA Hacks has grown into one of Southern California's largest collegiate hackathons. Each year, volunteers build on the last—creating a space where students can discover new technologies and bring their own ideas to life.
Beyond the annual event, we occasionally host workshops and educational events with companies and industry professionals. The projects and friendships continue long after the weekend ends.
